The Q5 is a premium midsize SUV derived from the Volkswagen Tiguan and its first generation was sold from 2008 to 2017, the year in which its successor was announced. While the 1st gen. features a soft design with rounded lines, the 2nd one is more angular and marks a change of trend. One objective of the Q5 has always been to offer comfort and technology, but also sportiness when we talk about its more aggressive and expensive version: the SQ5. You can buy it in both generations, both in the Diesel version and in the petrol version, always with a power exceeding 300 horsepower. Among the onboard technologies of the latest configurations, there’s the iconic Audi MMI interface, the Audi virtual Cockpit (a digital display for the driver), the Head-Up Display, and many safety systems. Adaptive suspension is optional. Among its opponents, we find the Porsche Macan (which is built with some parts in common with this vehicle), the Mercedes GLK, and the BMW X3.
