Produced between 1988 and 1995, the BMW M5 3rd gen. was proposed as an enhanced version of the contemporary 5 Series, with which it shares the code name “E34”. Among the advantages of the M5 over the normal E34 are the presence of ABS and 17-inch sports wheels. The suspensions are comfortably adjustable in Comfort and Sport modes thanks to a specific button. The engine is initially a 315HP 3.5 6-cylinder, which allows a top speed of 250km/h as well as acceleration from 0 to 100 in 6,2 seconds. On the occasion of a restyling, in 1992 the 3.5 engine was replaced by a more powerful 340HP 3.8 liter. With the new engine, the maximum speed has remained unchanged, but acceleration has become even more rapid: it takes just 5,9 seconds to reach 100km/h. A Touring variant also debuted in the same year.
