In 2017, BMW unveiled the 3rd gen. X3 (G01) as heir of the successful F25. As regards the exterior aesthetics, the new 4,70 meters long and 1,89 wide G01 keeps the aggressive and detailed lines of its predecessor. Its trunk’s basic capacity of 450 liters can be augmented up to 1500 liters when the rear seats are reclined. This luggage capacity is not bad but still a step back from the 550/1600 liters predecessor, which is also a few smaller (4,67 x 1,88 meters). The interior quality, accessories, and technologies are very similar to those of the previous generation. The unmissable 12,3” display both touch screen and manageable from the “iDrive” metallic wheel positioned near to the gearbox is present as standard in all configurations. As regards safety and resistance, Euro NCAP confirms the X3 G01 as a resistant and well-structured SUV by rating it five stars out of five in crash tests. The G01 comes with a vast range of engines (petrol, diesel, hybrid, and also electric as regards the 2020 iX3 G08) ranging from 190 to 286HP. The prices are very high but in line with those of the German competitors.
