The Cadillac ATS is a premium medium-sized (4,64 x 1,80 meters) vehicle made to compete with opponents like the BMW 3-Series and the Mercedes C-Class. Initially sold only as a Sedan starting from 2013, also a Coupe variant was announced two years later to satisfy the customers’ needs. Unlike its German rivals, with its boxy lines and imposing front grille, the ATS shows an idea of grandeur typical of larger cars and is offered at a slightly lower price. The interior also has an overall aggressive, as well as traditionalist tone; the cockpit is mainly analog, and the central console features an old-style LCD panel. The range of engines is full of options: the basic variant (which was sold at around 28.000$ in the United States but has never been very popular) is a 205HP 2.5 liter, then there’s a 276HP 2.0 (pictured), a 325HP V6 3.6, and another V6 3.6 but boosted up to 471HP. All the engines except the 2.0 can be combined with an AWD system. The ATS was discontinued in 2019 when its successor, or the CT4, arrived.
