Produced between 2006 and 2010, the Cadillac BLS is a premium midsize car produced in the Saloon version and, since 2008, also as a Station Wagon. The goal of this car was to represent a valid alternative to German and Japanese rivals, such as the BMW 3 Series and the Lexus IS. More than for America, the BLS was designed for the European market, in whose countries it had disappointing commercial results, which decreed the failure of the project only four years after its debut. The dimensions of the Saloon version are 4,68 x 1,72 meters, and those of the SW are similar. The structure of the BLS is inherited from the Saab 9-3 2nd gen., although the two cars sensibly differ from a purely aesthetic point of view. There were five engines available. As an entry-level, there are two 1910cc TurboDiesel 16V, one developing 150HP and one developing 180HP. The remaining three are petrol, all Turbocharged: a 175HP 2.0 16V, a 2.0 16V 210HP and a roaring 256HP 2.8 24V V6.
