The launch of the CTS aimed at rejuvenating the Cadillac brand with a view to rescuing the car manufacturer from extinction, after Cadillac’s sales had fallen in favor of major luxury brands such as Lexus and Mercedes-Benz. Since the 1990s, Cadillac has been trying to attract young buyers, the CTS has been the first of these new models to be successful, unlike other models such as the Catera and the Allanté. The Cadillac CTS-V is the high-performance version of the CTS and equips a V8 engine that develops 564 horsepower. This special version can reach 100km/h in just 4,2 seconds and has a top speed of 320km/h. The CTS has been produced in three generations from 2003 to 2019.
