Born in 2021, the Dacia Spring has set itself the goal of becoming the cheapest electric car on the European market. This goal has been achieved, but numerous compromises have been made. Derived from the Renault City K-ZE, the Spring is a very compact SUV: 3,73 meters in length, 1,62 in width and 1,52 in height. The interior is simple and features the latest technologies as an option, such as a 7-inch multifunction LED display and parking sensors with rearview camera. The biggest compromise lies in the electric powertrain, which has an output of only 45HP and a torque of 125NM. In “Eco” mode, the engine power even drops to 31HP. The 26,8kWh battery guarantees an autonomy ranging from 200 to 300km depending on the pilot’s driving style.
