Given that Harley-Davidson feels the need to create a range of motorcycles accessible to those on a tight budget but at the same time containing many of the characteristics that have always distinguished the brand, in 2013 it presented the Street 500 (discontinued a few years later) and Street 750. The Street’s design is simple and easily recognizable thanks to its characteristic shape and the unique round-shaped headlight. The riding setting is, like a bit in all Harleys, particular: the seat sits on a saddle at the quantum low (64 centimeters from the ground), while the knees are in a raised position. This ensures comfort (also helped by the soft suspension) to the detriment of sportiness. The engines are liquid-cooled and mated to a six-speed gearbox and the toothed belt is in Kevlar. Versions in some countries can be bought with weakened engines in order to be driven even by those who have a license of a lower degree than the suitable one. The sound, which is very hoarse, is also pleasant. In terms of advertising, an agreement was made with Disney (owner of Marvel) in order to make this bike appear in the movie “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” in 2014. The price in euros and that in dollars coincide.
