What is it?
Introduced in mid-2021, the Huyndai Staria is a minivan that can be configured as a 7 or 9 seater. As for the dimensions, the Staria surprises for the length of 525cm, but even more for the height of around two meters. The sale of this vehicle is intended only for certain specific markets, such as South Korea and Canada.
Design
The Staria is a very original and aesthetically futuristic vehicle; this strategic choice makes the product of Hyundai distinguish from that of rivals at first sight: a Staria is certainly less anonymous than a Kia Caravan. The well-defined lines and the vertically developed rectangular headlights give an extremely symmetrical appearance to the car. The thin LED strip that extends all the way around the hood serves as both a turn signal and daytime running light.
Interior
According to Hyundai itself, the interior of this vehicle is inspired by that of the most luxurious cruise ships and is therefore spacious and comfortable. For those who love landscapes, there are large side windows and, as an option, a panoramic glass roof, while for those who love the indoor atmosphere, the Bose audio system and a 64-color RGB ambient lighting system are available as an option. The main display has a diagonal of 10 inches and is located centrally in the dashboard. In the 9-seater version, there is the possibility of reclining the seats in the penultimate row by 180 degrees to form a sitting area.
Mechanics
The Staria has two engines: the first is a 2.2 turbodiesel with 177HP of power and 431NM of torque. The second engine, called “SmartStream”, is a petrol 3.5 that develops 272HP and 314NM. Hyundai plans to expand the range of engines by adding more eco-friendly powertrains soon. The gearbox can be either automatic or manual.
