The Kia Sorento IV is incredibly different than the previous three generations. First of all, it now has a more premium and masculine look. This 7-seater SUV has in fact a very aggressive design, especially in the rear, which we can see in the photos. I believe that the “diamond” style headlights give an idea of a car where some details are too exaggerated. Whether or not this vehicle pleases aesthetically, however, remains a very subjective fact. The Sorento 4th gen. measures 481 centimeters in length and 190 in width. The interior is very spacious and the overall quality improves on that of the previous generation, but still remains only in the industry average. Another breaking point compared to the past occurs in the engine, which is now also (and in some countries only) available for the first time in a hybrid version. This hybrid engine, despite offering an output of 230 horsepower, has not exceptional performance, since the Sorento is objectively quite slow. Despite the hybrid engine, consumption easily exceeds 7 liters per 100 km. The traction can be FWD 2×4 (which we absolutely do not recommend for this kind of car) or AWD 4×4. The technologies are good, there are also digital mirrors so you can watch what’s behind quietly from the digital cockpit. Prices are low! Among the opponent of the Sorento we find the Ford Edge and the Skoda Kodiaq.
