W124 is the production abbreviation of a car supplied by Mercedes-Benz between 1984 and 1997. The abbreviation refers to a rigor to the sedan version only, but in use, it has passed and indicates the family of cars according to the same platform (identified by the number 124). In 1993 it became the first model that was renamed with the commercial name “E-Class”. This vehicle was very successful; in fact, over 2,6 million units of it were sold. Its successor is the W210, which is a very different car, especially in the aesthetics.
