The W29 is one of the first cars produced by Mercedes-Benz, as well as a notoriously luxurious vehicle. Its production took place between 1934 to 1944 and included the 500K and 540K (pictured) models. A 580K version was also going to arrive, but its development stopped due to the beginning of the Second World War.
Produced until 1936, the 500K is equipped with an 8-cylinder in-line 5.0 engine with a 160HP volumetric compressor. It was proposed in the Sedan, Roadster, Cabriolet and Limousine variants.
The 540K, which served as successor, is almost identical and equips an engine with the same structure, but with a displacement increased to 5400cc and a power of 180HP.
