Differently from all the previous generations, many elements of the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 5 recall the world of rallying, and this makes it easily recognizable. The Evolution 5 has a short life: it is produced from 1998 to 1999. The exterior features new bigger 17” rims and a new spoiler fully made of aluminum to decrease the weight. This superlight but imponent spoiler can change position to guarantee the best performance in every situation. The engine is the same as the previous generation, but the torque is now higher (352 vs 373NM). The Lancer EVO 5 had to face legendary rivals, such as the Nissan Skyline GT-R and the Subaru Impreza.
