The Peugeot 208 1st gen. replaces the 207 and is produced from 2012 (although its idea was born much earlier in 2007) to 2019, when it is replaced by the second generation. The rounded design features brand new “lion claw” taillights and boasts excellent aerodynamics with a Cx equal to 0.29. It is available in both 5-door and 3-door variants. The trunk maintains a good size: we are talking about 285 liters. This car is light also thanks to the extensive use of plastic. In the less powerful versions, the rear brakes are drum brakes, but in the more powerful ones (such as the GTI in the photo), the entire braking system consists of disk brakes. The power varies from 68 horsepower of the 1.4 HDi to 200 of the 1.6 THP inside the GTI. In 2015 Peugeot introduces a facelift; this restyling renews the engines, and now the GTI version has 8HP more and a slightly renewed design. The 208 is undoubtedly a good vehicle, but one that faces many opponents. Any examples? Citroen C3, Fiat Punto, Toyota Yaris, Volkswagen Polo, Audi A1, Nissan Micra, Opel Corsa, Renault Clio… and many others!
