The fifth-generation Golf has the same basis as the Audi A3 8P and, just like it, represents an everyday car with high build quality in full German-style. However, things change when we talk about the GTi model, which is among other things the first GTi also sold in the five-door version. Among the improvements over the fourth-generation Golf GTi, we find the new 4-link multilink suspension. A very particular version was also produced, namely a Golf with W12 6.0 Biturbo engine with 750 Newton meter of torque and 650 horsepower. The MK5 was produced until 2008 when the next generation was introduced.
