The Yaris, the famous Toyota subcompact, was renewed for the third time in 2013, the year in which the “XP130” model was presented. Compared to its predecessor, the XP130 is the less sober in design the larger in size: the length of 3,88 meters is in fact 10 centimeters higher than that of the previous “XP90”. The trunk has a capacity of 285 liters, which increases to 765 liters by folding the rear seats. Inside, quality rigid plastics abound in line with the competition, and there is no real attention to detail, something that will be seen in a Yaris only from 2020. The body is well structured, and this also emerges from the result of 5 out of 5 stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests. The engines initially available were four: 69HP 1.4 petrol, 90HP 1.4 petrol, 99HP 1.3 petrol and Hybrid 1.5 100HP. Engine availability varied from country to country. The XP130 was modernized with new design and mechanics by two facelifts, one in 2014 and one in 2017. The production ended in 2019.
