Launched in 2020, the Ducati Superleggera V4 is an extremely expensive motorcycle that offers the best in road technology the Bolognese brand can offer. Marketed in a limited series of 500 units, the Superleggera is sold at a price of 100.000 โ‚ฌ/$ and can be considered as a direct successor to the Panigale V4. “Superleggera” in Italian means super light; this bike has a dry weight of just 159kg, 16 less than the Panigale V4, mainly thanks to the very wide adoption of carbon fiber, of which 100% of the chassis is made. The length of this vehicle is 211cm, the width 77cm and the height from the ground to the saddle 83cm. In this excellence of Italian engineering lies a prodigious 998cc V4 engine capable of delivering 224HP of power and 116NM of torque. The Superleggera V4 becomes even more powerful if it is equipped with the Racing Kit, made up of even lighter and more efficient components. The Superleggera V4 with Racing Kit weighs only 152kg and reaches 119NM and 232HP, with an overall power-to-weight ratio of 1,54HP per kg. Thanks to these settings, while remaining a completely street-legal vehicle, the Superleggera completed a lap of the Mugello circuit in 1.52.45, just a couple of seconds less than the most powerful MotoGP bikes.
