The Toyota 86 (called GT86 in Europe), almost identical to the Subaru BRZ, is a much loved entry-level sports car thanks to its sporty design and its very low price considering its quality. In fact, its sportiness is immediately understood by many details, such as the aggressive spoiler and the two generously sized exhaust pipes. The 86 facelift 2016, which is present in the technical data sheet below, does not vary much performance compared to the previous version (200 vs 205 horsepower, same 2.0 engine), but the interior is updated with more premium materials and a more modern instrumentation. On its debut in 2012, the 86 was named Car of the Year according to TopGear. Despite this, this Toyota faces many equally beloved rivals, such as the Audi TT and the BMW Z4, which both have a similarly powerful base engine and they can also be configured in much more sportive versions (example: the 400HP TTRS), but these cars produced by German competitors are usually sold at less affordable prices than the BRZ and the 86.
