The Apollo Gumpert is a light and essential hypercar produced from 2005 to 2012. The particular aesthetic lines guarantee an excellent aerodynamic coefficient, while the design with triangular headlights and gull-wing doors is very counter-trend. The weight of the Apollo varies from 1100 to 1200 kilos depending on the version and equipment chosen. The basic equipment of this car is in fact equal to that of a 90s utility car, which is nonexistent; as optional, there are the navigator and the air conditioning. This car is assembled entirely by hand, just like its much more expensive competitor, the Ferrari Enzo. The strength of the Apollo is certainly not the design, considered by many to be ugly, nor the technological equipment to say the least poor, but the driving dynamism: it is not only quick as also a Bugatti Veyron can be, but designed for curves and braking on the track. There are three versions available for sale: Base (650HP), Sport (700HP), and Race (800). In 2008, a hybrid version with a power of 520HP also enters the world of racing. All engines are of Audi derivation. Another strong point of this vehicle is the lower price compared to that of other hypercars: 200.000โ‚ฌ/$ + tax.
