In 2015 the Suzuki Baleno reborns. Now it is no longer a station wagon, but a small city SUV. The new platform, called “Heartect”, is also used in the Swift and Ignis. The aesthetics resemble that of some rivals such as the Renault Captur. On request, it is possible to add a small electric motor able to reduce consumption and improve performance. This technology is called SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki). The Baleno is not very resistant and safe: in the Euro NCAP crash tests it gets just three stars out of five. In 2019 arrives a restyling (you can see it in the photo) which updates the range of engines and makes the Baleno more aggressive aesthetically.
