Produced since 2014 as a Coupe and, since 2015, also as a Spider, the McLaren 650S is a supercar that mixes the typical design of the British brand’s sports cars with top-level performance. While the Coupe was produced in thousands of units, the Spider version was limited to 50 examples. Both the Coupe and the Spider weigh less than 1500 kilograms thanks to the use of a carbon fiber body inherited from the legendary MP4-12C, which can in fact be considered the predecessor of the 650S. This McLaren also has quite small dimensions, 4,51 x 1,89 meters. The 650S is equipped with a mighty 650HP 3.8 V8 engine; it is precisely the number of horsepower of the engine that gives part of the name to the car, in which the S stands for “Sport”. The engine in question is mated to a 7-speed automatic dual-clutch gearbox. The production of the 650S ended in 2017, when the 720S was introduced as its successor.
