Debuted in 2021, the Born is the first electric car produced by the emerging Spanish Cupra brand. It is proposed as an avant-garde small car, in some respects considered as a premium version of the Volkswagen ID.3, a car with which it shares its structure. Given a starting price of just over 30.000€ in Europe, we must take into account the high price of various very attractive options, such as the sporty interior, the panoramic roof, the Head-Up Display and the 20-inch wheels. However, the complex Cupra Connect infotainment system is not lacking as standard. The Born measures 4,32 x 1,77 meters and weighs just over 1700kg. The trunk has a capacity of 385 liters. There are two variants available: a 150HP combined with a 45kWh battery and a 204HP with a 58kWh battery. The 45kWh has a WLTP range of 349km, while the 58kWh can travel around 427km. The traction is permanently RWD in both cases. Both models ensure adequate acceleration, while no official data regarding the maximum speed have been provided.
