In 2012, one year after the presentation of the standard model, the Ford Focus ST 3rd. gen was born. Compared to the less sporty version, the ST has a more aerodynamic shape and now equips wider frontal grids. In the rear, on the other hand, there is an unprecedented wing, the bumpers are bigger and stronger and the two exhaust pipes take place in the center of the car’s body. The good habitability, the discreet luggage compartment capacity, and the infotainment in step with the times make the Focus ST pleasant even for city use. The engine is a powerful four-cylinder EcoBoost that guarantees performance similar to that of major competitors, such as the Golf GTi and Hyundai i30N. In the 2015 restyling, a second engine joins the range: it is Diesel and has a power of 185HP. A six-speed manual gearbox flanks both engines. Also in 2015, the interiors are subject to a slight redesign. The production of the ST 3rd gen. ends in 2018.
