The history of one of the most successful muscle cars ever starts in 1967, when Chevrolet presents the first generation of the Camaro. The aim was to offer this vehicle as an alternative to the Ford Mustang, which at the time was monopolizing the market. The dimensions are 4,69 x 1,84 meters. The exterior design is detailed and aggressive, while the interiors are simple and don’t offer many interesting peculiarities; in fact, the primary focus of every generation of Chevrolet Camaro has always been fun and performance regarding driving. The mechanical arrangement is classic: front-positioned engine and rear-wheel drive. The Camaro 1st gen. offers many motorizations ranging from 155 to 500HP (for the limited edition ZL1, built in just 69 exemplars). The 155HP one is the only non-V8 version available. Two years after its release, it receives an important restyling, but, in 1970, it disappears from the market after the presentation of its successor, the 2nd gen. This 1st gen. sold 240.000 units in less than three years.
