The Golf MK VIII uses the same MQB platform as the previous generation, which means that there are not many aesthetic changes outside the car. Inside, the traditional analog instrument panel has been replaced in all versions by an entirely digital display. There are two screens: the first, 10 inches, is intended for the aforementioned instrumentation, while the second, 8, or 10 inches depending on the layout, is placed in the central console and integrates the multimedia system. The latter is integrated with Alexa and can perform various commands via voice control. Besides, a head-up display is available as an option that projects data relating to speed, navigator indications, and safety systems on the windscreen.
