The Mercedes GLE was presented in 2015 as a successor to the M-Class and was criticized right away for resembling the BMW X6, especially in its coupe version. It was in fact presented both in the standard version (W166) and in the coupe version (C166). The design and size are accentuated. In the second generation (V167 and C167), presented in 2018, the shapes are more modern and less rough and the interiors full of technology and quality: the MBUX system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) offers high-level technologies such as the navigator with reality augmented integrated and advanced voice commands. In the picture, we find one of the most powerful versions, the 2nd gen. GLE53 AMG (the most powerful of all is the GLE63 AMG). In both generations, even the basic engines are very performing, and are around 250 horsepower. The price, especially for the coupe version, is higher than that of similar premium SUVs such as the Audi Q7/Q8 and the Porsche Cayenne, and of course the BMW X6.
