What is it?

The second generation of the Volvo XC90 was introduced in 2015 to cover the same market segment previously entrusted to the 1st gen. Despite this, there are many changes in both aesthetics and mechanics. Even if we’re talking about a top of the range, the XC90 is the best-selling Volvo in the United States.

Design

Compared to before, the lines are softer and the overall aesthetic cleaner. The XC90 is overall more elegant and suitable for the city atmosphere, but not less aggressive. The dimensions stand at 4,95 meters in length and 1,93 meters in width.

Interior

Also configurable in a 7-seater version, the interior is simple and elegant. The cockpit and infotainment are completely digital.

Mechanics

The second generation of the XC90 is based on a completely new structure, the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture), and has four engines: two diesels at the base of the range (190 and 235HP), two petrol (254 and 320HP) and a hybrid of 400HP. In the 2019 facelift, the whole engine lineup was updated.
